The Dark Knight Rises

I don’t know a lot about Christopher Nolan… but WOW!

His Batman series has become in my mind as valuable and great as the Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, The Godfather and The Matrix productions. I have seen a lot of Horror movies in my life, and I have never been disturbed by a super villain like I have Bane – EVER!! I left the theatre looking over my shoulder for hours. It was a very queer sensation. Yes folks – I was a little spooked… very strange. My take is part of the reason Bane had such a unique stage presence is he was “hybrid of power.” He had the hulking mass of a giant muscle psycho, but the voice of a very disturbed genius professor… Muffled although it might have been. His Sociopath-ness was extremely believable. I have to admit his evil was a little seductive… I found my mind not sure of which character I liked more. I had this same feeling with the Joker from the flick before. Christian Bale is definitely the best Batman of all time…

I also liked how Bruce Wayne had a bit more frailty in this movie… He wasn’t oozing Billionaire playboy-ability, which made it more believable… Left you torn on what he should do, as he was in the movie. I can’t wait to see it a 2nd time… I think there are portions you will not get entirely until a 2nd viewing… Loved it!!

In other news “Inception,” also directed by Christopher Nolan was completely amazing! I do not remember ever seeing anyone capture dream states so vividly and real until I seen this movie. I am so pleased he put this movie together cause it actually helps you understand and focus on how the human mind engineers dreams and virtual reality a bit better…
